Biography
Andrew Androff is a responsive and accessible proven leader seeking to serve you as the next Royal Oak City Commissioner. He is a longtime supporter and community organizer for city residents and businesses of Royal Oak. He thinks local and buys local because he is local. He passionately supports his city through his boundless energy and active participation in many local community groups. Andrew is an appointed board member of the Royal Oak Seniors Citizens Advisory Committee, Zoning Board of Appeals, Traffic Committee, and an elected Precinct Delegate to County Convention for his neighborhood. He is also an associate member and loyal ally of The Royal Oak Community Coalition, The Royal Oak Nature Society, and the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce.
It is Andrew's goal to improve the quality of life for Royal Oak residents. If elected, Andrew will focus his energies on making Royal Oak a community where escalating property values, safe streets, a top-grade educational system, preservation of our green spaces, and a proliferation of job opportunity can exist. He is ABSOLUTELTY AGAINST A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE and will bring financial stability to Royal Oak Government through more focused and tougher budgeting, eliminating wasteful expenditures and utilizing more efficiently the revenue we currently receive. Andrew Androff is proud to PUT YOUR PUBLIC SAFETY FIRST by supporting the Proposal to Amend the Liquor Control Ordinance. He will not support the sale of any of our parks or public golf courses, and he will PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORHOODS by only approving projects that preserve and enhance our existing neighborhoods.
Andrew's thorough research and wide knowledge of community issues and resident's needs will enable him to take on controversial issues and make the right decisions. As a co-owner and managing partner of one of Michigan's most recognized Moving Companies, Andrew has built a reputation for solving problems. He has a proven track record of growing his organization, even in a declining economy. Andrew currently employs over 25 full-time employees and owns over 30 trucks in his fleet. He sits on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Movers Association and has a bachelor's degree in business from Oakland University and a Masters Degree in Management from Wayne State University.
Andrew is married to Katie Androff, together they have a 19 month old daughter, Alexandria Rose and another due in April of 2010. The Androff family is a member of National Shrine of the Little Flower. Like many young Royal Oak families they enjoy nightly walks through their neighborhood, shopping and dining downtown, and weekend barbeques with neighbors and friends.
