Royal
Oak Senior Citizens Advisory Committee – Board Member
On
December 15, 2006, The Royal Oak City Commission approved the appointment
of Andrew Androff to the Royal Oak Senior Citizens Advisory
Board. Andrew currently sits on the board as one of the
two non-senior board members. As a board member, Andrew surveys
the needs of seniors and helps develop programs to help meet those
needs. He advises the City Commission and City Manager on all matters
relating to senior citizen services. Andrew fights to maintain the
services that our local seniors have come to depend on.

Royal
Oak Precinct Delegate to County Convention – Precinct 14
In the summer
of 2006, Andrew launched his improbable race for the position of
Precinct Delegate to County Convention for Royal Oak’s Precinct
14. Despite Andrew being challenged by an impressive contender,
a challenger with strong community ties, Andrew pulled out a come
from behind 109 to 98 victory. Even then, he stood out among candidates,
going door-to-door distributing his home-made flyers and earning
votes one conversation at a time. As a Precinct Delegate, Andrew
has continued to work on the issues that represent the ideals and
aspirations of so many Royal Oak residents.
Royal
Oak Chamber of Commerce
Andrew recognizes
the importance of supporting local businesses. As a co-owner and
managing partner of one of Michigan’s most recognized moving
companies, Andrew is a regular attendee to the monthly Royal Oak
Chamber of Commerce events. In fact, many of the services and products
that Andrew purchases for his company are directly from other Royal
Oak Chamber members. Andrew thinks local and buys local because
he is local. For more information about the Royal Oak Chamber of
Commerce please visit their website at: http://www.royaloakchamber.com/
Royal
Oak Nature Society
Today, we have
50 parks, over 57 acres of nature preserves, and 2 public nine-
hole golf courses throughout the city of Royal Oak. Our residents
have a vested interest in each and every piece of property. Andrew
supports the Royal Oak Nature Society and is committed to protecting
Royal Oak green space. Andrew has cemented his commitment to preserving
Royal Oak green space by becoming a member of the Royal Oak Nature
Society. Through Andrew’s volunteering and charitable donations
he hopes to continue to prove that each of our parks and recreational
areas offer our Royal Oak residents economic, social and environmental
value. For more information about the Royal Oak Nature Society please

Royal
Oak Community Coalition
Increasing Public
Safety for Royal Oak residents is one of Andrew Androff’s
top concerns. That is why he is a strong supporter and ally of the
Royal Oak Community Coalition. The best way to increase public safety
is by helping Royal Oak transition into a Proactive Community.
Unfortunately, becoming a Proactive Community does
not happen overnight. It usually evolves from a negative event or
series of negative events that spark a community’s desire
to develop and launch an offensive or preventative strategy to protect
the public. Many of you are aware of the well publicized drug abuse
and overdose problem that exists in our city today. In the last
year alone, 10 deaths have been attributed to drug overdoses. Step
one to becoming a Proactive Community is getting
residents more involved with the Royal Oak Community Coalition.

Fraternal
Order of Police
Everyday,
Police Officers dedicate their lives to protecting and serving Royal
Oak and surrounding communities. It is Andrew’s belief that
these courageous men and women should be supported through education,
legislation, information, and community involvement. That’s
why, in March 2007, Andrew submitted his application to join the
“Fraternal Order of Police” (FOP). Through his current
and future involvement and contributions, Andrew aims to join the
Fraternal Order of Police in an effort to help build a Proactive
Community.
Michigan
Movers Association – Board of Directors
February 17th,
2006, Andrew Androff was elected onto the Michigan Movers Association

elected to reside on the board. The Michigan Movers Association
is a non-profit association that represents movers and service providers.
The association’s goal is to foster, develop and promote the
highest standards of conduct and service to the public regarding
the moving industry. Andrew has just rounded his first term on the

that will oversee the modernization of the associations published
tariffs. To find out more information about the Michigan Movers
